Classic stop on a NOLA visit. This is a home built for Napoleon. I'm not sure he ever lived here. Each room is like a room of the house. Lots of historic type decor and it's a bit rustic. Good bites and good drinks. The servers are really friendly and relaxed. Cocktails as well as draft beers. Great neighborhood place to meet up with friends. Casual and cozy.

Hi Ralph, I'm so pleased to get your reply, thank you. I absolutely adore the Napoleon House. Your food is so wonderful and absolutely does do great justice to the Impastato's recipes. I don't notice a difference. I always recommend the Napoleon House to everyone. Your ambiance, music, & service is 2nd to none. My only problem is that I liked when it was easy to just walk in and take a seat. (I was spoiled.) Now you have lines, though I'm glad business is good. Also, I live in Mississippi now. I was sad to see that you're no longer shipping via Goldbelly. If you can fix that, I'll be forever in your debt. Best, Jennifer

Always a stop on our visits - we had our wedding reception on the second floor eons ago - the first to do so after the original owners remodeled. It is great to see nothing has changed in spite of new Brennan ownership - kudos! The signature drink is the Pimm's cup and now they have a few variations. A half Muffaletta is the standard order - the full sandwich is for 2. Excellent service. Damages for 2 was $80. Come for the vibe and the good food. If the weather is nice - the back patio is charming.

OMG I did not know I could taste a sandwich this good until I came here! We got the hot pastrami po-boy and fried catfish po-boy. Both were incredibly good. In particular, I can say that every part of the hot pastrami was delicious, I was in shock of how much I enjoyed it. I also ordered a virgin Pimm's and it was a refreshing drink on the side of my sandwich. Oh and if you need a side - I'd recommend the Italian cheesy bread, it was a great combo of cheese, pesto, and tomato. One thing to note, the ambiance is pretty dark so you might need to use your phone flashlight to look at the menu. It does add to the vibe so it's not bothersome otherwise. Other than that, the space is amazing and historic so take a chance to look around at the walls. Also, if you see a line know that this restaurant does not take reservations. From our experience, we were there around 5-6pm and it was a small wait but we enjoyed talking to our host. Service otherwise was pretty fast.

Fantastic meal. Wanted New Orleans cuisine, and it exceeded our expectations. Side of jambalaya, seafood gumbo and split a half a muffuletta. Everything was perfectly done. The service was excellent, as well Highly recommend.

The food was just meh. The service was great from the front to the back. The place is quite romantic, dark and moody and nicely decorated. It's not overly packed with tables and there is cute seating in the courtyard. We had catfish poboys at another place the night before and the catfish portions were more generous at the other place. Parking is not easy in these parts, but part of the fun is walking through this area and marveling at the architecture. The location is close to most of the main attractions, so you just park and walk around.

I wanted muffuletta. My kiddo wanted a po boy. Napoleon House was a good choice to make everyone happy. My muffuletta was delicious. Great flavor, loved the olive spread and the sesame seed bread. A quarter is enough to feed the average appetite. Potato salad made a nice side, but was a small serving for the price. The fried shrimp po boy was ok, but nothing terribly special, and the portion of bread to shrimp was a little off. She liked the side of jambalaya. My Sazerac suffered in comparison to a much better one I'd had the night before. Still, we were glad we stopped here. Service was good and the ambiance is fantastic.

Came here to try the muffuletta and it did not disappoint. This was definitely one of my favorite meals in New Orleans! The bread was super fresh and loved the taste that the olive spread added to it. Sat in the patio area which was nice because it had heaters so it didn't feel too cold. Service wasn't the quickest but everyone was friendly. There was a wait to get in but I would say it was worth it. The only issue I had was that the hostess went ahead and sat a party ahead of people who had already been waiting in line outside the door for about 20 minutes. As soon as the party ahead of us pointed it out, they did make sure to seat us asap.

Napoleon House, nestled in the French Quarter, is a New Orleans treasure that blends rich history with an inviting dining experience. Housed in a historic building that dates back to the early 19th century, this spot has both character and charm, making it a must-visit for travelers. The menu is thoughtfully curated with classic New Orleans flavors. Start with the sausage appetizer--it's a standout dish that's perfectly seasoned and full of bold flavor. It's the ideal way to kick off your meal! Inside, Napoleon House offers cozy seating with vintage decor, creating an atmosphere that feels timeless. The real highlight, though, is the courtyard patio. With charming lights and open skies, this space lets you enjoy your meal under the New Orleans stars, adding a magical touch to your dining experience. Well, I just had my first muffuletta, and I'm hooked! Perfect sesame bread, filling, and the olive salad makes this sandwich a winner. A quarter serving was plenty for one person. My lunch partner had the red beans and rice with local smoked sausage. It's obviously a roux-based dish, unlike others I've had in the past, which have had more of a tomato flavor. Outstanding! Service was friendly and efficient.
